About Me

I'm Jade, a 26 year old Welsh girl, 2012 graduate of Photographic Art and current student in Health and Social Care.

I've always tried to find the adventure in life!

However life as I had grown to know it was massively altered due to my being diagnosed with Epilepsy in November 2010.  Where it all began. For the moment I continue to experience Tonic-Clonic seizures, Absences seizures and Complex Focal Seizures. Epilepsy has completely changed my life in some very disruptive and negative ways but it has also enlightened me to some brilliantly positive outlooks and even though I'm still adjusting to this life long condition things are looking up and thanks to some truly incredible people I know everything will turn out just fine! Chin up people keep looking to the bright side!

I am currently taking 2500mg per day of the medicine Keppra with Clobazam as a rescue medication to bring me out of seizures if they are particularly strong or prolonged...  or just won't bugger off on their own!

For the moment my Epilepsy remains far from controlled but hopefully given time and a little bit of luck sooner rather than later I will be able to gain full control and lead a pretty much 'normal' life :)

I spent my childhood growing up in a valley close to the tiny village in North Wales. From here at the age of 12 I moved to live in a bustling town in South East England for the remainder of my childhood until the age of 18. Although I will always consider that tiny welsh valley in the middle of nowhere to be my home, both places have helped to shape who I am today. I can't imagine how life would be without either. Since then I have also lived in Newport, South Wales where I studied at university and Cardiff. Now I'm happy making a home a in the beautiful Welsh market town in North Wales. Living in and experiencing such differing areas of Britain has broadened my horizons in life no end and as much as it was not easy uprooting to new places I will always be thankful of experiences I gained and the people I have gotten to know over the years.

One of my absolute loves in life is photography <3 I use it as a way of expression, escape and to capture the everyday experiences of life amongst other things.

Other loves for me are all things arty, colourful, music, friends, family, standing on the top's of mountains, anything that brings about genuine smiles, travel, positive people :)

Travel is something that has always been part of my life. I've been very lucky to have got to visit some amazing places including a huge majority of Europe, Egypt and The Gambia! Once I'm back on track with life I plan on travelling to many more places :) Camera(s) in tow of course!!
